Ever since it was announced that the long-awaited Breaking Bad movie would finally be released this year, fans have been excited about returning to the underworld of New Mexico’s drug business. Officially titled El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, the film will be released on Netflix on October 11.
El Camino will focus on Jesse Pinkman, and we’ll finally get to the bottom of what happened to him after he escaped the neo-Nazis that were holding him captive at the end of the show’s original run.
However, Breaking Bad‘s finale aired a whopping six years ago, and you might have forgotten what happened since then. Luckily, Aaron Paul has weighed in on which scene fans should watch before the new movie premieres. “Here’s a moment from Breaking Bad to slowly prepare you all for what’s to come,” he explained on Twitter.
The scene in question takes place during Season 3, in an episode called “One Minute.” In the scene, Jesse is in the hospital after being beaten by Walter White’s brother-in-law Hank Schrader.
Walter comes to visit Jesse in the hospital, and he offers him a partnership in their meth cooking business, which Jesse declines. When Walter questions why Jesse would turn down “one and a half million dollars,” Jesse unloads on him.
“I am not turning down the money. I am turning down you! Ever since I met you, everything I ever cared about is gone, ruined, turned to shit, dead!” Jesse screams. “Ever since I hooked up with the great Heisenberg. I have never been more alone. I have nothing! No one.”
However, you might not remember that despite all of this, Jesse agrees to the partnership later in the episode—but luckily for all of us, we have about a little over a month to rewatch BB before El Camino comes out. Happy binging.
